     Michael is key Partner/Owner of Dayspring and manager of it's Operations. He has over 20 years experience managing manufacturing and high technology businesses. He oversees Dayspring's Business Operations in managing both the short term and long term opportunities.  

     Mr. Newman’s business background includes over 15 years of experience in managing large Pulp and Paper manufacturing operations.   At Boise Cascade he became the youngest Paper Machine Superintendent in the history of the company in guiding the $25 million dollar paper machine operation in Vancouver WA. Additionally he managed all the operations in 400 plus person ITT Rayonier Pulp facility in Port Angeles WA, and increased productivity from $115 million to over $130 million per year.  

     Mr. Newman also managed the international sales and quality efforts for Rayonier’s $150 million Florida operation and developed ISO 9002 systems and partnerships with fortune 100 company’s like Dow, Eastman Chemical, Kodak, DuPont and others. As Vice President of the technology company Buehner-Fry, he managed the sales/marketing and operational efforts and guided the company’s increase of customers from 25,000 in 25 states, to over 75,000 in 48 states.    

     Mr. Newman holds a MBA from the University of Portland and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
