     Mike is a key Partner/Owner of Dayspring and has over 20 years of experience selling and producing hardwood lumber products. Mr. Engel is guiding the sales and purchasing efforts of Dayspring as well as providing operational wisdom from his many years of experience in the industry.  

     Mr. Engel began his career in the airline industry and worked his way to becoming the youngest person ever excepted into Eastern Airlines sales program. Through is successful sales efforts, he was offered the opportunity to be on the start up team of a west coast regional airline started by Air Florida’s co-founder Mr. Fred Dewitt.

     Mr. Engel transitioned into a sales position with Continental Hardwoods and became the leading salesman in the company in his second year and continued in that top position for 9 years. He then utilized his skills learned and relationships formed while selling hardwood for Continental Hardwood in Portland Oregon to acquire Dayspring in 1996. He has successfully guided Daysping through its growth from a small couple person shop, to the multi-million dollar business entity now operating from a world class facility.
